We are pleased to announce some new dates for our Summer and Autumn tours in Canada, USA and Europe.
After our weekend at Cambridge Folk Festival, where we will be playing on the Thursday night and the Saturday afternoon, we head to Goderich Celtic Roots Festival in Canada for a week of workshops and concerts. From Canada we will head down to NY for the Fiddle and Strings Summer camp. We are all really looking forward to meeting all the bands and students at both of these festivals. After a couple of gigs in NY we head to Rochester, Minnesota for the Residency and Capstone concert series and finish up our tour in the USA at the Milwaukee Irish Festival. We are particularly looking forward to meeting up with some friends at Milwaukee including Kathy Brown and family, Cormac O’Se from the Celtic Junction in St. Paul and various bands from around Scotland, Ireland, the USA and Canada. We will once again be joined by Seán Earnest on this tour, a wonderful Bouzouki player who is stepping in for David McNee on our US tours.
After Milwaukee we head straight to Copenhagen for the start of our tour in Denmark. This will be our first visit to Denmark and we are all very excited. We will be performing at a number of shows and festivals including Tonder Festival. I think it is safe to say we have all wanted to play at Tonder since the band begun and are looking forward to it immensely. For the Denmark leg of our summer tour we will be joined by Jack Smedley who is covering for Ruairidh who has some of his own Trio gigs. We wish Ruairidh good luck and are looking forward to playing alongside Jack. We will also welcome back David on Bouzouki and Tenor guitar.
We will have a week long break in September before heading back to the USA for another shorter tour taking in the Celtic Classic Festival in Bethlehem, a return to Commom Ground and a joint show with Comas at the Baby Grand in Wilmington, Delaware. After another short visit home we will head back to Germany for a couple of weeks in October and then onto Italy for a few shows which have still to be confirmed. Thanks to Rick Field and The Feuerstein’s once again for helping us with the tour in Germany.
It will be a busy Summer and Autumn for the band and we can’t wait to get started! Hopefully we will see some of you at a concert along the way.
